Astronomy is one of oldest sciences that has a great influence on humanity. It began when the first stone - age man looked up at the night sky and questioned his existence. As time passed by, he started observing how the stars rise and set in the sky. Man related the stars and all other astronomical phenomenon to his daily life.
From the geocentric model to the heliocentric model, the Big bang theory to the first image of a black hole, there are so many discoveries related to this field that amazes humans.
When you look into infinity, you realise how small you actually are and none of the fights people have had for the thrones or dominions actually mattered. We know how tiny we are compared to the immeasurable heaven and completely powerless in front of it; & yet it is so beautiful to be a child of the Cosmos.
The odds of us being born were one in a billion but here we are !
The more we know about the universe, the more we know about ourself. So remember to look up at the stars and never stop dreaming.
Happy World Astronomy Day ! - Kirti Jadhav
